So everyone has been talking since yesterday about KTLA meteorologist Liberté Chan's choice of dress in which she delivered the morning weather report. Apparently it ticked some people off enough to complain about it via email. They, I guess, got enough of them to where they dangled a frumpy gray cardigan, in frame, for her to put over the "offending" dress.

Now, I don't think there's anything revealing or offensive about her dress. True, it is a cocktail dress, sleeveless, and is, with its sparkle and beading more appropriate for a cocktail party / evening wear, but it's not something to get all up in arms over. Here in South Florida I've seen plenty of woman anchors and meteorologists wearing sleeveless. I haven't heard of any offenses being taken about it or anything. I guess it's South Florida, and we're in the sub tropics and it's just not even thought about.

According to Ms. Chan, the dress she had originally had to wear "keyed out", or, didn't work against the green screen that you use during a weather report. If this dress was the only other option she had at short notice, you'd think it would have been known, had been seen, and could have been worked out ahead of going on-air. The way they handled this was just horrible. She was a champ through it all, no doubt, but to dangle the cardigan there and tell her ON AIR that nobody liked her dress... that just... O M F G it pissed me off.

Really, Rolling Stone? Really with that cover?

The Boston bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, softly lit, tousel haired and looking like a rock star is NOT what I wanted to see in my mail box. Insensitive.

EDIT
I still feel the same way about that cover, but the article itself was actually well written and didn't glorify him or even try to garner sympathy for him or anything.

I'm watching Breaking Dawn pt. 1 on Showtime at the moment. Yeah, I know. Shhhhh. One thing though. I'd even wondered this reading the book. Yeah, I know. Shhhhhhh. How in the HELL did Edward get Bella pregnant in the first place? I mean, he's essentially dead, right? A vampire. They don't have the same bodily functions and bodily fluids as a living human would. How did he create sperm? 'Tis a puzzlement. Oh but then we wouldn't have the weird hybrid child Renesmee. RENESMEE. Nor would we have had the creepy moment when Jacob ~imprinted~ on her. Ew. Yeah.

EDIT: The birth scene! BRUTAL. Bella's spine cracks in half. And Edward rips through her uterus with his teeth. WITH. HIS. TEETH. Damn.

Too early!

Just saw my first Christmas commercial for the season. A Target commercial. I'm sorry, I love Christmas hardcore, but it's too early. It's only just getting on mid October. Can we at LEAST have Halloween first? I mean y'all already just skip right over Thanksgiving as it is.

Okay so it would appear that the 50 Shades of Grey trilogy of books (or is it just the first one?) is the fastest selling paper back of all time. Even beat out Harry Potter! Though, to be fair most HP fans bought the hard back editions the second they came out so yeah. *shrug*

The last time I wrote about these books, libraries in Brevard County here in Florida had banned them due to the content. I understand that ban has since been lifted. Anyway, I'm just still not understanding why this is being lapped up like a kitten to a dish of milk? I started the first book and it was so bad. It read like a bad Harlequin Romance novel.

People are acting like erotica never existed before, like this is some huge epiphany! Ladies, get out there and find some decent erotica to read! I'm also hearing that Mark Wahlberg is pretty much securing the movie rights? MOVIE? Oh no, please spare us all. But I'm sure the theaters will fill up nonetheless. *eyeroll*

As an amusing aside, since this was based off a Twilight inspired fanfic: Kristen Stewart was spotted reading 50 Shades. *nods*

I've got a cold, and have been drifting in and out of a Benadryl induced sleep all afternoon.
I wake up to this on the TV:

A two year old dressed as Blonde Ambition era Madonna. I... can't.

Also? Reading "American Psycho" when you're blitzed on cold meds is a trip.

Now if you'll excuse me. *dives back into bed*

Just now coming out (happened back in July) is audio of Christian Bale on a verbal tirade against the Director of Photography on set of the film Terminator: Salvation. Initially, this was something that made me uncomfortable to listen to. It went on for FOUR. WHOLE. MINUTES. Anger management issues anyone? Hello? Yeah. But. Gotta admit this is epic...

I bring you, straight from YouTube, Christian Bale: BALE OUT! (Club Mix)

Warning: Lots 'n lots of the "F Bomb"

The creator of "Bale Out!"

It's catchy, has a great beat, and I can dance to it! I give it a 10!

Remind me to stay on Bale's good side.

WTF?

*looks at clock*

Hrm. Twenty minutes to midnight.

Why is there a bird singing quite LOUDLY outside?

Actually this has been happening every night for a week.

It was singing at 2:46 am yesterday!

Bird? GO TO BED. Damn.

ETA

Alright, after some investigating I am finding out that mockingbirds sing at night as do a couple of other species. But this sounds like one bird. Man he's singing his little heart out! Just started right as I posted this originally. And AHA!! Early June... mating season for many species.

ENOUGH!!!!

Hey asshole! Whatever you're doing in your car down below the apartment in the street, turn your freakin' heavy metal music DOWN, goddamnit! The car is sitting there (SUV) with the hatch open, he's here and there, and the music is blaring.

I'm surprised someone hasn't said something yet. Seriously. I'm ready to.

ETA

It's done. He was down there almost an hour. Nice and quiet now.

I'm sure you've all heard by now about the goings on at Britney Spears' home last night. I won't rehash, I'll just let you look and read:

Here

and

Here. <-- ONTD has a running commentary as well, accessible via this main post. It's just been crazy on there with a few more posts regarding other Britney things today, like her wanting Jamie Lynn to move in with her and today's emergency court hearing, etc. So this main post will have most everything you'll need to get you up to speed.

Apparently it's out there now that she was indeed not under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, so this was indeed a true blue melt down. So not good. It's been coming. Is this the rock bottom she needed to hit finally? It's been going on for so long now.

Sad. I feel the most sad for her two little boys.

And they say she's so lucky, she's a star
But she cry, cry, cries with her lonely heart, thinking
If there is nothing missing in my life
Then why do these tears come at night?
