Bellybutton - Jellyfish

I wanted to put a CD on for a change. Looked in my handy dandy "most listened to" CD case and pulled out a complete gem.

I'm listening to Jellyfish's "Bellybutton". I have been in love with this album since it came out. Finally am getting 'round to ripping it for my playlist, so I thought I'd post this to share it with you since it's now on my computer.

Fantastic power pop! If you like Squeeze and The Beatles with a touch of Queen and maybe a little Badfinger , you'll love Jellyfish. Trust me here. It's a great album. So is "Spilt Milk" , but this one will always have all my love.

I particularly love "She Still Loves Him", "Bedspring Kiss", and "Baby's Coming Back". "Baby's..." is the song that got me into them and made me buy "Bellybutton" in the first place. Just that great hook! I remember playing this album to death at the record store when I was working there and it brings back fun memories. I was very sad that they left us with a legacy of only two albums and did not go on to become just incredibly huge. But there were creative differences, and as well, grunge exploded onto the scene so Jellyfish fell by the wayside.

GTFO and STFU, Britney. 8am is too early... someone call the WAAAHmbulance! Get with people that have real lives. Those of us that have to be AT work at um... yeah... 6 or 7 am?

Number one album. Um... not quite. I believe the EAGLES have that distinction this week. Tell us why you can't get up after you've actually been putting in the hours TOURING and PROMOTING this um... number one album of yours. THEN maybe I'll understand your aversion to 8am wake up calls.

And if you're required to respond to the drug testing calls within an hour, do it, damn it! Something is telling me that she does NOT want her kids back that badly!
