Farrah Fawcett (1947 - 2009)

Farrah Fawcett died at 9:30 Pacific Time this morning in Santa Monica, CA.

I have always loved her as an actress. She'd gone well beyond being the sexy blonde on Charlie's Angels to being an actress who had some chops. The Burning Bed , Extremities, Small Sacrifices... as well as other wonderfully done dramatic, television, and other movie parts.

9 million tuned in to watch Farrah's Story, which chronicled her horrific 3 year battle with cancer. It was touching, and she showed such strength.

Michael Jackson dead at age 50.

TMZ had reported, but I wanted to hear from more OFFICIAL outlets, and now have. Michael Jackson has died. He'd gone into cardiac arrest. He was taken to the hospital earlier this afternoon.

A piece of my childhood went with him. What a day this has been!
