Britney's got talent! NOT.

Feeling masochistic this morning? Yes? Well then. Watch and the LULZ will come.

Britney Spears. From her Live From Las Vegas HBO special. Her mic is isolated, so you can hear what she REALLY sounds like! Yeah, without all the studio gimmickry and fixing up; filtering and whatever else they do to her voice.

Oh my word. And dare I say I've heard better voices at karaoke night at the local bar? Even my own? Drunk?

And I'm hearing she'll be back on the VMAs next month to perform. Oh now how will she EVER top last year? I wait with bated breath to find out.

Unrelated, I now have iGoogle as my homepage. One of the components I added was Shakespearean Insult of the Day. They have been quite LOL worthy. Today's insult? "Thou cockered guts-griping haggard!" OMG.

I also have literary quote of the day. But since I've had it up all the quotes coming up are from Erica Jong. Hmmm....

Oh my GAWD, that is....wretched!!!!

Could you imagine if that was what the AUDIENCE was hearing at the time? Bwahaha!! OMG.

Packaged. Manufactured. Pop. Princess.

I'm deaf in one ear, and I can still get a perfect pitch when I sing. Where's my recording contract, eh? LOL

As for Shakespearean insults, playing with the random generator on one site is my favorite past-time. I challenge my kids to think of creative insults, because I feel that profanity shows a lack of imagination. It seems to work, for they rarely let an F-bomb drop. Instead, around the house, you would be more apt to hear "sugarplums and fairybums!" or "thou lily-livered blatherskithe!"

Verily, I doth love the insult generator. :)

And yes, I don't claim to be an OMG SINGER! but I can keep pitch alright and do a pretty decent karaoke.

She's definitely manufactured and packaged, picked for her looks and image rather than her voice.

I saw Britney's video yesterday, the one that's nominated for various awards and whatnot. It's...really terrible, not to mention the song itself. Sadly, in one category she's up against one of my favorite bands, whose video is actually creative and interesting, but I know they're going to lose to four minutes of Britney Spears shaking her ass.

And to think, this is the woman who made me rethink a musical career when I was thirteen. Sure, I can't top her physical appearance, but I sing a whole lot better.

I haven't seen the video yet, will have to go check it out for the LULZ. And it sucks but you just know she's gonna win that award, after all OMG COMEBACK! and etc.

Ugh, I know. It's a travesty.

This is horrible. It's edging close to Linda McCartney territory. (of course in Lindas defense, she wasn't, and didn't claim to be, a singer)

agreed

I've never been a fan of her voice, but I admire people who make lots of money off little talent. You should stop by my blog. I have a pretty cool giveaway going on right now! http://nowenteringmomville.blogspot.com/2008/08/giveaway-for-body-and-soul.html
