Clear Channel dumped/merged a ton of radio stations when they sold or merged or went private or did whatever the hell it is they did (I never sat in on the conference calls so I haven't the foggiest what exactly happened--I know, I know... bad employee). I know my boss was worried about a couple of our stations being lost in all the shuffle (less stations=less money=lay-offs).
And shhhhhh... but I don't really even listen to local radio any more either. lol! The only station I listen to really is the Oldies station here (which is one of ours), but I haven't recently because the program director just logs in the same songs day after day after day. :[ No thanks... I end up just plugging in my ipod.
