Since my entry right after the nominations were announced, I've watched ALL of the nominated movies (go me!) and have my final picks for tonight's major awards.

Best Actress:

Kate Winslet (The Reader)

Meryl was her usual brilliant amazing self in Doubt, but Kate will get this. I am REALLY wanting her to. She is on the cover of TIME as well with the banner Best Actress, so maybe that's a sign? I hope so.

Best Actor:

Mickey Rourke (The Wrestler)

Sorry, Sean. I had you pegged but after re watching The Wrestler, I have to say they're gonna give this one to Mickey.

Best Supporting Actress:

Taraji P. Henson (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button)

This was and is actually a very tough category to call. I had such a hard time!

Best Supporting Actor:

Heath Ledger (The Dark Knight)

Oh, Heath. :( ♥

Best Director:

Danny Boyle (Slumdog Millionaire)

Best Animated Feature:

WALL-E

Best Picture:

Slumdog Millionaire.

I think Jai Ho from Slumdog Millionaire will take best song. O...Saya is excellent too, though. I'm presently in love with that entire sound track. I am looking forward to seeing how they perform these.

I'm intrigued by the fact that it'll be made to look like a night club this year and they're doing some other new-ish things, so we'll see what it's like. And! Hugh Jackman! I've got the popcorn, the Pepsi, and the Ben and Jerry's and I'm good to go! Bring it.
