St. Patrick's Day Playlist 2006

Friday is St. Patrick's Day. So to gear up, and get into the spirit, I've put together my first ever St. Patrick's Day playlist. Fun drinking songs, and traditional fare I hope is a good mix. For the most part I've stayed with Celtic artists and traditional renderings. Erin Go Bragh!

*The Wearin' O' The Green - Wolfetones
*The Pub With No Beer - The Dubliners
*The Irish Rover - The Pogues & The Dubliners
*Whiskey You're The Divil - The Pogues
*Danny Boy (Londonderry Air) - The Three Irish Tenors
*When Irish Eyes Are Smiling - Daniel O'Donnell
*The Rose Of Tralee - Paddy Reilly
*Beer Beer Beer - The Irish Rovers
*Whiskey In The Jar - Thin Lizzy (YAY for Irish rock and roll!!)
*The Unicorn - The Irish Rovers (one I ADORED as a child, can sing along even now)
*A Jug Of Punch - The Clancy Brothers
*Danny Boy (Instrumental Acoustic) - Eric Clapton (No he's not Irish, included just because I love it so much!)
*I'll Take You Home Again Kathleen - Daniel O'Donnell
*The Parting Glass - Sinead O'Connor

Download .zip file with the songs here 45.54 MB (Limited availability)

So fill to me the parting glass. Goodnight and joy be with you all.

WOOT!! ETA

Beer Beer Beer - The Irish Rovers!! I love this one. LOL!! I found a good mp3 of it at long last. I tried and tried when I put this together, but to no avail. I've added it to the list above too.

Don't know if you've heard it, but "Kiss My Irish Ass" by Great Big Sea is a must-listen for St. Paddy's Day. I'm not Irish, but I feel Irish whenever I hear it.
