How cool!! I can't wait to put that on my iPod. I love playlists but mine are never very good. And I so dig the Porpoise Song! Have you seen Head yet? I can still hear Davey Jones asking "I'd like a cold glass of gravy with a hair in it" every time I think about that movie.

I'll post a few of mine to my LJ in the next day or so (though I've never had good luck with file sharing programs so I'm only going to post the list).

I had a bizarre dream as a result of Itchycoo Park and Justin Hayward spending too much time in my life once.

Nice mix! I'm nabbing. I had one I was working on called Psychedelicatessen but I realised that half the stuff i wanted to put on it was only on vinyl.

Oh, we SO need to chat some SERIOUS tuneage sometime soon...I have several big compilations in my iPod of various hard to find psychedelic stuff! YEA for psych tuneage!!

Winning that iPod was, perhaps, the best thing for my musical enlightenment that I could possibly have ever had. I've got a long list of psychedelic bands...I'd download the song for the compilation and pick up a few more tunes to broaden my mind with...and it's been...a trip!

One of my favorite bands is H.P. Lovecraft...and thanks to eBay, I picked up a nice "Greatest Hits" CD to enjoy. I also just got that Nico/Velvet Underground album that you have featured up top with the Andy Warhol banana...among others like Count Five.

Oh definitely. :)

I love my iPod, and I also love expanding my musical horizons.

Hey, Polly!

When you use SendSpace, do you place the songs in a specific folder so you don't have to look for all the various songs in your iTunes/WinAmp main folder?

I'm trying to figure out how to upload a few of those compilations without spending an hour seeking the stuff...tips/suggestions?

[identity profile] hippie-chick.livejournal.com 2007-01-28 12:12 pm (UTC)(link)
If they're entire albums, I keep them in sub folders by album in my main Music folder so all I have to do is click.

If I'm sending quite a few, then yeah, unfortunately I always need to go into my music folder and pull the songs out. But I make an "upload these" folder to drag copies into and then just go into that one at SendSpace. Then I can get rid of that when I'm done uploading them. :)
