What was on my weekend playlist.?

The Random 10 @ The Music Memoirs

Had my iPod with me alot this weekend, so here is the randomosity.

1. A Better Version Of Me - Fiona Apple
Finally they decide to release Extraordinary Machine in October! It's all been leaked to teh intarnets now though, so you can just pull the songs off of LimeWire easily enough. shhhh... I didn't say that. *innocently whistles* LOL!

2. Amber - 311
I like this song. Hooked since the movie 50 First Dates.

3. Fairies Wear Boots - Black Sabbath
Ah I love the Paranoid album!! My brother turned me on to Sabbath years ago.

4. God Only Knows - The Beach Boys
Carl's vocal, the chord progressions... just heavenly. Love this song to bits!

5. Pool of Tears - Chris Vrenna (From the soundtrack to American McGee's Alice)
Ex NIN drummer. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the soundtrack to the game American McGee's Alice... truly dark, atmospheric and twisted... and very very cool. The first and only game soundtrack I just had to purchase!

6. Boogie On, Reggae Woman - Stevie Wonder
::bows down:: It's Stevie. Nothing more needs to be said.

7. Pink - Aerosmith
'Cause it is so very.

8. Champagne Supernova - Oasis
I love the lyrics. I always end up singing along, too.

9. Riders On The Storm - The Doors.
Absolutely, positively my favorite Doors song. Evar.

10. Within You Without You - The Beatles
I had some incense burning at one point yesterday at home with the iPod on shuffle and this came up. Then I had to turn off the iPod and put on Sgt Pepper at that point. Just had to. Incense!

I listened to more of The Doors as well since I was in that kind of mood.

BPAL review #6: Fae

Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab

Received from the Lab, ordered in an imp pack.

I thought since I have had this on all day I'd review it now.

From Bewitching Brews.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com A brilliant, ethereal scent: white musk, bergamot, heliotrope, peach and oakmoss.

In The Vial: Peaches. Peaches with a sparkling white undernote; the musk and heliotrope I'd reckon. Sweet and fresh.

On Wet / 10 minutes in: Still peaches. But not overpowering peaches. The bite of the bergamot and the green earthiness of the oakmoss are coming out to play just a little bit more now too. Delicious.

On Drydown: Peach has gone and given way to musk. Musk, musk, musk. With just a touch of the oakmoss underlying. My skin takes to musk right away so just as I'd feared it latched right on there. Not unpleasant at all, but I kind of wish that initial peachy fruitiness would have stayed around longer. :/

Overall: It's alright. Actually you know what? It now (4 hours later) reminds me of Skin musk. I have a bottle of that. I like Fae and will keep this imp, and wear it again, but would I get more? Haven't decided.
