First let me get this out of the way. YAY MARTIN SCORSESE!! *dances*
*ahem* Anyway.
Ellen did a fine job. My favorite bits were the vacuuming and the MySpace picture with Clint, taken by Spielberg. Bwahaha!
Pilobolus was really cool. My favorite was when they did the penguins from "Happy Feet" and also when they did "Snakes on a Plane".
Abigail Breslin + Jaden Christopher Syre Smith = All kinds of awesome. They were tooooo cute. Jaden was trying too hard to be funny though.
*snickers* Emily Blunt and Anne Hathaway were adorable. And ♥ Meryl!!!
Will Ferrell, Jack Black and John C. Reilly = all kinds of love.
OMG montages. The best one though was the writing one. Enjoyed that.
Psst! "Infernal Affairs" is Chinese, not Japanese.
Psst! Penelope Cruz is Spanish not Mexican.
Saw Tom Cruise of course but no sightings of Katie. Was she there? Anyone see?
Best Picture:
The Departed.
I had Babel pegged here, but I'm happy. This was a really good film. Oh and speaking of... Jack Nicholson was rockin' the chrome dome last night! I had to do a double take and I was like OMG MOM IT'S JACK! LOL!
Best Actress
Helen Mirren in "The Queen".
YAY! But I really already knew this, for Helen rules all. She's da bomb. I loved her interview with Barbra Walters on the pre awards special.
Best Actor
Forest Whitaker in "The Last King of Scotland".
I really want them to finally recognize Peter O'Toole. But I knew it would go to Forest. I loved his speech. I was ecstatic for him!
Best Supporting Actress
Jennifer Hudson in "Dreamgirls".
Didn't I say they'd give it to Hudson? Feh. Mom and I looked at each other and went OMG SHE WON OVER THAT PERFORMANCE BY CATE BLANCHETT? NO NO NO NO NO. I wanted little Abigail to win but she's got tons of time. I ♥ her.
Best Supporting Actor
Alan Arkin in "Little Miss Sunshine".
OMG YAY!!!! *bounces* I was entirely happy. ENTIRELY. I wasn't sure Alan would win so I picked Mark Wahlberg out for this one. This was a nice turn of events.
Best Director
Martin Scorsese for "The Departed".
YAY! Yay, yay YAY!!
YAY for "An Inconvenient Truth"!
And didn't I tell ya Pirates would get visual effects? All kinds of awesome.
Now on to the fashion...

Wasn't overly impressed with Nicole Kidman for some reason. I so don't feel that light hair color, wish she'd stop doing that. It makes her look washed out. And that bright red... wasn't feeling that gown either. *pines for hot, red headed Nic*

Jada Pinkett Smith's gown was fantastic. And ♥ Jaden!

Helen. Mirren. *bows down*

REESE! She always makes the BEST choices. LOVED the deep plum shade she was rocking here.

Abigail Breslin! Just all kindsa lurve for this little moppet!! ♥

Kate Winslet! Kate, Kate, Kate, KATE! Yes, I love her.

How gorgeous is Anne Hathaway, anyway? OMG. Not sure I'm feeling this gown though.

Gwyneth? You looked STUNNING. Yes, I said it. She did!

Penelope Cruz? You are muy caliente, but how many birds died to make the skirt of your gown?

Cameron Diaz? Not feeling her or the gown. But love the shoes. Yes. Too bad they don't show in this picture.

And there was J-Lo and hercorpse hubby Marc Anthony. He really does look like an extra from Michael Jackson's "Thriller" video, yo. *shudder*

LEO! ♥
See you next year!
P.S.
This was actually begun (posted privately) this morning awaiting some edits, hence the time attached. I had to run and just got home and finished it up. :)
