So everyone has been talking since yesterday about KTLA meteorologist Liberté Chan's choice of dress in which she delivered the morning weather report. Apparently it ticked some people off enough to complain about it via email. They, I guess, got enough of them to where they dangled a frumpy gray cardigan, in frame, for her to put over the "offending" dress.

Now, I don't think there's anything revealing or offensive about her dress. True, it is a cocktail dress, sleeveless, and is, with its sparkle and beading more appropriate for a cocktail party / evening wear, but it's not something to get all up in arms over. Here in South Florida I've seen plenty of woman anchors and meteorologists wearing sleeveless. I haven't heard of any offenses being taken about it or anything. I guess it's South Florida, and we're in the sub tropics and it's just not even thought about.

According to Ms. Chan, the dress she had originally had to wear "keyed out", or, didn't work against the green screen that you use during a weather report. If this dress was the only other option she had at short notice, you'd think it would have been known, had been seen, and could have been worked out ahead of going on-air. The way they handled this was just horrible. She was a champ through it all, no doubt, but to dangle the cardigan there and tell her ON AIR that nobody liked her dress... that just... O M F G it pissed me off.

Just saw my first Christmas commercial for the season. A Target commercial. I'm sorry, I love Christmas hardcore, but it's too early. It's only just getting on mid October. Can we at LEAST have Halloween first? I mean y'all already just skip right over Thanksgiving as it is.

I've got a cold, and have been drifting in and out of a Benadryl induced sleep all afternoon.

Also? Reading "American Psycho" when you're blitzed on cold meds is a trip.

Alright, after some investigating I am finding out that mockingbirds sing at night as do a couple of other species. But this sounds like one bird. Man he's singing his little heart out! Just started right as I posted this originally. And AHA!! Early June... mating season for many species.

Apparently it's out there now that she was indeed not under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, so this was indeed a true blue melt down. So not good. It's been coming. Is this the rock bottom she needed to hit finally? It's been going on for so long now.
