Take Me Back Tuesday from The Music Memoirs

It's all about the soul this week! I tend to go for more classic soul and R&B so a couple of my choices will reflect that. Though there are a couple of contemporary choices here. And I will say this was hard. Only three choices?!

1. Name your three favourite R & B / Soul songs.

As - Stevie Wonder
Georgia On My Mind - Ray Charles
Tell It Like It Is - Aaron Neville

Just to name three, but there are others.

2. Name your three favourite R & B / Soul artists.

Stevie Wonder
Al Green
Prince
And Aretha, Alicia Keys, Ray Charles, TLC...

3. Name your three favourite R & B / Soul albums.

Songs In The Key Of Life - Stevie Wonder
An absolutely AMAZING album!

Speakerboxx / The Love Below - OutKast
This set is so sharp, funky, and well produced!

1999 - Prince
It's Prince. Enough said. He da man.

Okay, I hate alot of reality TV. But sometimes, just sometimes, I get sucked in. Sucked. I'm lying in bed in a fit of insomnia, so instead of getting up and heading over to the computer to get lost in the wilds of the internet, I stay snuggled in my bed and turn the TV on. Then it comes over me. I want to change the channel. But. Can't. Change. The. Channel.

I've mentioned watching "Kept" a time or two before. Well it's over. Jerry's chosen her kept man. Seth Frye, 34, Bostonian. I however liked Austen. He was just cute in an 'aw shucks' corn fed kind of way. Though I fear a little too shy... or quiet... and not 'kept man' material in enough ways where it counted. He was way too fish out of water at the Whitbread awards when she took him. It was painful to watch. His moment to shine and he blew it big time.

However Seth does have his drawbacks too. I think she just liked him because he could make her laugh, she liked his sense of humor. Throwing food at the ceiling and making it stick? Throwing stuff out of a Paris hotel room window? Some of his actions didn't scream 'refined' or 'gentleman' to me at all. But meh. There it is. He's not a bad looking bloke, though.

Link to a Boston Herald article on Seth's winning.

Austen's Blog which is rife with Kept experiences and banter.

Seth's Blog. He really is amusing sometimes.

But! Mmmmm Maurizio! I liked him. I thought Jerry did, and alot, which is why I was really suprised when she cut him.

And speaking of reality TV and VH1 (which is so becoming the new Bravo!) The Surreal Life this time out is really disappointing me. Janice Dickinson makes me want to claw her eyes out. I can't handle her in such a heavy dose. At least on America's Next Top Model (which I hadn't really watched until it started airing on... you guessed it... VH1) you don't see all *that* much of her, and she's in her element there. Everyone else (well except maybe for the way cool Pepa) are just... BO-RING. Bronson Pinchot? Ew. He seems so... slimy. No interest at all. ::pouts::

And don't even get me started on "Celebrity Fit Club"!

Oh! And HOGAN! KNOWS! BEST! Hulk rules you.

Enough of that.

And this from me, someone who still maintains she *hates* alot of reality TV! haHA!
