Banned Books Week 2005
Sep. 25th, 2005 09:12 amDon't join the book burners. Don't think you're going to conceal faults by concealing evidence that they ever existed. Don't be afraid to go in your library and read every book...
Dwight D. Eisenhower (1890 - 1969)

Yesterday marked the beginning of Banned Books Week. It lasts through Oct 1. And as I did last year, I encourage you to pick one banned or challenged book and read it this week. And as I did last year, I'll place here the list of the 100 most frequently challenged books from 1990 - 2000.
( The List )
As well, there's:
ABFFE's 2004-2005 Banned / Challenged Books List
The Forbidden Library
The Online Books Page which includes newer additions.
My choice for this year's Banned Book Week: Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury. Because it fits the theme of the week, as well, I hadn't read it in ages. What did you choose?
