Golden Globes 2006
Jan. 18th, 2006 05:47 pmRealized I hadn't posted about the Golden Globes yet, so might as well. I only caught bits and pieces here and there, caught the entire list of winners next morning.
First things first though. It's Mr. Johnny Even Though My Hair Looks Unwashed I'm Sexy Depp!

He did look amazing in the way that only he can, though.

Beautiful Vanessa is one lucky, lucky woman.
YAY Reese and Joaquin!! What a GREAT job they did in their "Walk The Line" roles! Excited to see how they do at the Oscars. Reese was gorgeous as always.
YAY for Brokeback Mountain!! I've yet to see it. Alas it had stopped playing by the time I was able to go. WILL be checking out the DVD though. Have heard only amazing things about this film! ETA: Found a theater and saw it. I think it deserves all the accolades it's getting. Well acted, well directed. A beautiful, complex and painful story.
YAY for Philip Seymour Hoffman in Capote!! Amazing. Completely deserved.
On the TV front:
YAY for Lost! And YAY for Hugh Laurie! House rules!
BOO for Desperate Housewives. I've lost all fascination with that show. Yes Felicity Huffman is wonderful (YAY for her too by the way, for Transamerica) but it's just I'm getting tired of seeing Housewives this and Housewives that. Particularly Eva Longoria. Blech. Would have rather have seen Everybody Hates Chris win.
YAY for Jonathan Rhys-Meyers as Elvis!! Yeah, baby.
On The fashion front:
LOVE Natalie Portman's cute hair!
Evangeline Lilly looked very pretty in her emerald green gown.
Scarlett in scarlet. Vavoom! She looked fantastic, though I wish she'd have done an updo and not left her hair loose.
Sarah Jessica Parker. I don't care. I always think shes the epitome of NYC glam. She was gorgeous.
Gwyneth Paltrow is in her second trimester and glowing. Her look was a little too uptight though.
George I'm So Dapper It Should Be Illegal Clooney was looking well... dapper. ::grin:: What was up with his silly acceptance speech though?
Oh yes, and did I mention Johnny Depp? Oh yeah, I did didn't I? Well I am again. OH Johnny....
And that my friends is my Globes overview. See you after the Oscars!
