Let me know if you'd like any of the originals and / or covers listed here and I just may have the mp3 on the computer or at least I can make it for you.
2. What's one artist, concert or musical era that you'd like to have been alive to see, or see again if you saw it in the past?
I would have LOVED to have been around for tons of concerts and happenings in the 1960s. I maintain I was born in the wrong era, dammit!
3. What's one history lesson that you think a certain band or musician, or all musicians, should quit repeating?
Well I did go back and read people's answers to this one and yep, I do concur that David Lee Roth should just let it fookin' lie already. Him ever reuniting with Van Halen just won't happen. Even if it did happen, I just can't see it being the "same". Once something happens, like a member leaves and comes back or a band just disbands completely and reforms, I find that many times it just doesn't have the same feel, the same energy and the same heart it did before.
4. Name a band that's not together anymore (members can be alive or dead) that you would absolutely love to see reform.
See my answer to number 3. But I'll throw a couple of my "wishes" out there anyway.
Bands I'd love to see but can't reform because sadly a member or members is no longer with us. You know what they say about rock and roll heaven though. They must have one hell of a band! Here are those bands:
The Beatles. I had thought that maybe Julian could stand in for John and Dhani for George, but you know what? Love the boys, but it's just NOT the same. *sigh*
Led Zeppelin. Yes, it's not quite "right" without Bonham, but you know? It would still be groovy to see Plant, Page, and Jones get together for something.
Others without members who've gone on to that aforementioned rock and roll heaven:
Jane's Addiction were pretty awesome.
I wish Pink Floyd would record again, though I don't think they will. :(
And I would say Smashing Pumpkins, but it appears that Corgan is reforming the band as we speak. Guns N Roses as well, is reforming so it would appear. That's about it off the top of my head.
