Tuesday Tunes @ The Music Memoirs
If you could buy one album right now, which one would it be?
I want to check out The Shepherd's Dog by Iron and Wine (aka Sam Beam). I've heard a couple of things by him and liked.
Have you read any rock related biographies? If so what was the most recent one you've read? Did you like it?
I am a rock bio junkie. I love them. I've read tons of them. The two most recent were Marianne Faithfull's "Faithfull" and Marilyn Manson's "The Long Hard Road Out Of Hell". I did enjoy them both. For different reasons.
Oct 9th would have been John Lennon's 67th birthday. List a few things about John that you know. Random facts, songs, or just things about John that mean something to you, if you are a fan.
* He was an advocate of peace.
* I loved his Rolls Royce Phantom V.
* He was dyslexic.
* On "Walls and Bridges" he never appears as a musician in the credits. He used pen names such as Dr. Winston O'Boogie and Reverend Fred Ghurkin.
* The Liverpool Airport was changed to the name John Lennon Airport in 2001.
* He was obsessive about the number nine.
* He inspires me to stand up for what I believe in.
