A little fun 4th of July style:
Make a mix of at least 10 songs w/or without art that sum up Independence Day for you.
1. The Star Spangled Banner - Jimi Hendrix
Because I think every Independence Day party or BBQ should start out with this!
2. We're An American Band - Grand Funk Railroad
Have a cold one, and toast to American style rock and roll!
3. Cheeseburger in Paradise - Jimmy Buffett
Because it's not a summer party without Buffett, is it?
4. America - Neil Diamond
On the boats and on the planes
They're coming to America
Never looking back again
They're coming to America
5. Glory Days - Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band
Glory days well they'll pass you by,
Glory days in the wink of a young girl's eye,
Glory days, glory days
6. Pink Houses - John Mellencamp
Oh, but ain't that America, for you and me?

We always end up with this one on at BBQs at some point.

9. 4th of July - X
This one makes everybody's 4th of July mixes it seems.
10. America The Beautiful - Ray Charles
Getting settled in to watch the fireworks? Gather together and end the festivities with this wonderful rendition.
Listen to the mix!
I could have really expanded this list and taken you through the day, from preparing that potato salad, to greeting your guests all the way through to the fireworks, but I digress, I'll leave it at the 10 requested for this meme. :) Maybe soon I'll do that summer BBQ playlist if you guys want one enough.
