Top Five on Friday @ The Music MemoirsTop 5 songs and/or albums from 2004And you know I have to do both even if it's either or. :p
Albums:
1.
Smile - Brian Wilson.Simply psychedelically wonderful. <3 Brian.
2.
From a Basement on the Hill - Elliott Smith.Makes my heart ache.
3.
Van Lear Rose - Loretta Lynn.Produced by Jack White. I never paid much attention to Loretta before that.
Of course I knew of her, but since there was so much talk about this album I just had to see. And it's wonderful. Shes' a tough chick.
4.
Talkie Walkie - AirAir are the chill out Gods. "Run" and "Cherry Blossom Girl". Enough said.
5.
The Grey Album - Danger Mouse.I nabbed this bootleg wonder before it disappeared amid legal action by EMI.
It's a mashup of Jay-Z's Black Album and the Beatles' White Album. And it's a thing of brilliance.
