FINALLY! It's also out on DVD now but, my favorite episode of The Alfred Hitchcock Hour has been added to Hulu / Fancast! "Where The Woodbine Twineth". My mom's too... she'll be beside herself. We haven't seen this one in years!! First aired January 1965.

"Imperious Southern matron Nell Snyder (Margaret Leighton) is upset by the recent behavior of her orphaned niece, Eva (Eileen Baral), who has created an imaginary "little person" named Mr. Peppercorn, whom she blames for all her acts of mischief. Things don't get any better when Eva attaches herself to a toy doll in the image of a Creole girl, whom the child has named Numa. Before long, Nell has come to the conclusion that the doll is a vessel of voodoo magic, capable of stealing Eva's soul. The end of this episode pulls off the neat trick of being heartrending and grotesque all at once." ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide

It's really one that has stuck with me for many many years. The story is by Davis Grubb and you can also read it here.

I suggest going onto Hulu.Com or Fancast.Com and watching this one and others... they are all quality. I loved this series! Note: Hulu and Fancast are only viewable to those in the United States.

Gonna go watch it now. While it's midafternoon and bright outside. I wonder if it'll have the same effect on me as it did when I was younger...
