And in the "OMG, WHY?!" department:
Jul. 17th, 2012 10:57 amThey're remaking "Whatever Happened To Baby Jane?"? What? WHAT?

Is this really necessary? I mean, the original can't be touched. Why is some studio or whatever in Hollywood thinking this is something that needs to be done? I mean there was already that forgettable TV thing with the Redgrave sisters but let's not even count that.
Anyway if they MUST, at least get two good, strong actresses for the roles of Jane and Blanche. Meryl Streep definitely comes to mind and perhaps Dame Helen Mirren? But I think it's just crazy nuts to try unless it's JUST right. Bette and Joan made the original what it was, it was just something that happened organically. Two great but fading actresses who already had somewhat of a rivalry going on, it added so much to the authenticity of the thing, yes, as camp as it was. How can that whole chemical mix be replicated?
I didn't bring your breakfast, because you didn't eat your din-din!
