Tonight's movie is

The Shining



Because, well, it's Jack Nicholson in a tour de force. The film differed from the book enough that Stephen King has said he wasn't happy with Kubrick's interpretation. I just think it's a damn fine horror film and there are some really good scares in there.

Kubrick's The Shining is good and scary but the mini-series really grew on me. Especially after seeing and staying at the Stanley Hotel. I finally reread the book a couple weeks ago and had forgotten how freaky it is.

That was excellent, too. Stayed truer to the book. The book freaked me the hell out, not gonna lie. I want to see and stay at the Stanely! TAPS (The Atlantic Paranormal Society) is doing an investigation there in November and I want to go soooo bad.
