I know this is all complete bullshit but I find the whole Paul Is Dead thing fascinating and have for a long time. It's my favorite urban legend. I posted this video to my Facebook as well, but wanted to make an entry to elaborate on it as I watch. :) Note: I think this was intended as kind of a "mockumentary" anyway.

* Try watching the part right after the "accident" where the Police Sergeant Maxwell is there, and the Beatles identify the mangled, burned corpse of Paul McCartney. "He looks like a Walrus!" says Maxwell. WHAT in the bloody hell. What police officer, a supposedly professional person, would say something like that and in front of people who are obviously bereaved? John and the whole "I AM THE WALRUS! I AM THE WALRUS!" thing. And I hadn't heard about "Rita" before. I'd only heard that Paul and John argued in the studio, Paul, pissed off, took to his car to drive out his frustration thus leading to his fatal accident. Anyway, as with all urban legend, there are varying "stories" that go with it.

*A lot of the "clues" are silly, but some can be quite, quite eerie. Sometimes I do wonder if the Beatles were just enjoying messing around with the public, and fed into it themselves. One I guess can see anything in things if they want to and look hard enough.

* We're going to DISMISS any "clues" from "Rubber Soul". How on earth, I ask you, would they have CLUES to Paul McCartney's DEATH on an album that was released a year PRIOR? Rubber Soul = 1965. Paul "dies" = 1966. Yeah.

*The Sgt. Pepper clues! This was the first album I really knew was chock FULL of 'em. HEAR LiES PAUL! First time I noticed THAT one! All the others I have though. Wooooow. And that he was "buried" in Blackpool. I'd heard a story about the Beatles buying an island off of Greece called Leso, and that clue was "Be At Leso" which is where Paul is "buried". See what I mean about varying stories? Also "George" claims that "Eleanor Rigby" is about Paul's funeral, which only the three remaining Beatles "and Paul's parents" attended. Uh, Paul's mother, Mary, died when Paul was fourteen.

* The narrator (NOT George, sounds nothing like him though the film makers claim it is) said that the man with the raised hand behind Paul on Pepper is Stephen Crane, author of the book "The Open Boat" which supposedly gave the Beatles the idea to carry on with an impostor as Paul. That is not Crane, it's actually Jewish actor / comic /singer Issy Bonn. Just look up pictures of these gentlemen and that is that. LOL

* I'd heard the theory of that being a cardboard cutout of Paul, however there are other photos of the shoot that day and it's not a cutout. That patch? It says OPP not OPD. Ontario Provencial Police, not Officially Pronounced Dead.

*Actually there is one other Pepper clue I hadn't noticed before, the walrus in mirror image formed by Diana Dors.

* Did the Beatles invent backward masking? I'll have to look into that, I thought that it had been done before they had done it. OMG a couple of new audio clues I hadn't caught! "It was a fake moustache!" "Paul is dead, he lost his hair, his head."

* MMT clues: The "phone number" was bogus. I thought it came out that several people tried it and got nothing, but ONE person came forward and said when he called it he got a voice saying "You're getting closer." and the person then hung up. I'd heard about the funeral home but nobody I've ever heard of came forward and corroborated that. And the Walrus was never Paul it was always John. "I Am The Walrus" "no you're not, said little Nicola"

* "Faul" is exposed in a photo in the booklet.

* Car crash sound backward masked, didn't know about that one, it's in the middle of "Magical Mystery Tour".

* Narrator: "I say "bury my body! , o untimely death!"... No, that's on a radio John had playing in the studio, a Shakespearean company performing "King Lear". Not George.

* Oh crap, the Blue Jay Way backmasks are CREEPY! "Please somebody get me out" is "please don't be long" backward. I tell you some of these make my skin creep. *shudder* This one is QUITE audible and I hadn't noticed it before. I guess I had placed more emphasis in looking at visual instead of audio stuff. There's another, "Paul is Hare Krishna it seems." Hare Krishna... Hare meaning he who removes illusion. Hmmmm... interesting backmask there. "Paul is bloody".

* The bit about Maxwell and goons telling them to can it with the clues or they'll have no problem arranging a car accident or "a deranged fan to off the lot of you!" WOAH. Um. Guess they didn't listen because they continued...

* White album clues! White is the color of mourning in some cultures.

* HE BE ICE 3 in mirror image of "The Beatles" on the cover. Never knew that one! See I'm finding out a few new clues here guys! LOL!

* One I knew about, that's not a picture of Paul in disguise in the collage (glasses, 'stache) that's William Campbell's (Faul's) passport photo. Also in the collage is that creepy photo of Paul dancing and those ghostly arms reaching out for him. There's Paul laying back in the tub, looking as if his head is disembodied.

* Of the band portrait photos included with the LP, Paul's is lots closer up than the others and there's a visible scar on his lip. You can also see William's new nose job.

* Tons of backmasking on this LP, lots of which you guys probably already knew about. Revolution 9 is freaky enough forward, but that one backward is a nightmare inducing thing, man! Car crash sounds, screams of agony... and 9. There are 9 letters in McCartney.

* Another backmask I missed is in "Why Don't We Do It In The Road?" when Faul appears to be screaming out "Paul really dead! I really want out!"

* No Yellow Submarine clues I didn't already know about. The yellow submarine being a metaphor for a casket. Sky of blue, sea of green (blue sky, green grass at cemetery) in our yellow submarine. Raised hand over Paul's head on cover again, etc...

* George wrote "Only A Northern Song". The narrator here attributed it to John.

* Abbey Road clues! We all know that the Beatles are dressed appropriately on the cover already. John in all white is the priest / preacher / reverend, or even Jesus Christ himself with long hair and beard. Ringo in his suit was the undertaker or pall bearer if you will. Paul of course, barefoot, holding his ciggy ( in slang, called a "coffin nail") in his right hand (he's a southpaw!), eyes closed, is the corpse. George in denim work clothes is the grave digger. Paul's out of step with the others, there too, to show he's not quite right.

* Still on the cover here. Did you know that the man standing on the right hand side of the road by the police van died recently? His name was Paul Cole. Here's an article about him. And the iconic VW Beetle with the LMW 28 IF plates is there. Linda McCartney Weeps. 28, Paul's age IF had he lived.

* An aside. Throughout this thing they show the only photograph I'd ever seen of Paul after his motorbike accident he had in December 1965. He suffered a busted lip, a bad cut above his eye and a chipped tooth. You can see the chipped tooth in the "Paperback Writer" and "Rain" videos. It sent him to the hospital for stitches. Paul says: "I was only doing about 30 at the time, but it was dark and I hit a stone and went flyin' through the air. It was my fault... it was a nice night and I was looking at the moon." Thus, the scar you see on his upper lip to this day.

* There's "Rita" again on the back cover of Abbey Road, in blue dress. They apparently gave her plastic surgery, a new identity and money to keep her set up for life and quiet about what really happened.

* Thennnnnn Detroit DJ Russell Gibb uncovered the whole shebang when a caller pointed out clues on the MMT album, and they were on the run as it were from the goons who were going to kill them if the conspiracy was found out.

* Let It Be had some final clues. Black sleeve. Mourning color. Paul facing forward other Beatles not facing camera. Again he's singled out, different. Blood red background on his photo too. The beard? FAKE. LOL! Mic placed to obscure that and the chin that was weak due to the surgeries. OMG. LOL It would be one thing to say "this will be it, we'll throw off suspicion, end The Beatles, etc. and just 'let it be'. However if it WAS the last album they recorded. It was not, Abbey Road was, Let It Be was just the last one RELEASED.

* Play "Let It Be" backward and Paul says "Help me." The line "well you can imitate anyone you know" from "Dig A Pony" alludes to William Campbell. So does "all I was looking for was somebody who looked like you."

* And the bloody cheek of "Faul" to continue a career! LOL

* HOSHIII- "Rita", hit by a motorcycle, leg amputated. RITA IS.... wait for it... HEATHER MILLS!! OMG OMG !! *dies* LOL She was born in '68! WTF this is impossible and so SO funny to me!

This whole thing has been quite entertaining, actually. *munches popcorn*. I sometimes think it may make a cool movie, a dramatic interpretation instead of documentary thing. I dunno. :)
Sweet dreams!
