Here it is, the last installment of my Halloween Month Movie A Night for another year.
October 27:
The Exorcist (1973)
This film still has moments that are completely frightening to me.
October 28:
The Descent (2005)
If you're claustrophobic, or even just a little bit, like me, this will terrify you.
October 29:
1408 (2007)
Based on a novella by Stephen King. “Hotel rooms are a naturally creepy place, don’t you think? How many people have slept in that bed before you? How many of them were sick? How many of them lost their minds? How many of them -- died?”
If "The Shining" didn't put you off hotel rooms, this one certainly will.
October 29:
[REC] (2007)
There is tension from the first second to the last. I found myself sitting on the edge of my chair gripping the arm rests for dear life. You actually start to feel real panic.
October 30:
Christine (1983)
Another Stephen King adaptation. The book was scary. The movie got a lot of the elements right, too and has its great moments. Killer car you've got there, dude.
And today is Halloween! Tonight's movie will of course, by tradition, be "Halloween". I hope you enjoyed following along and I'll see you next year! Happy Halloween!
