hippie_chickIt's that time again! October!! That means Halloween Month Movie A Night. Throughout the month of October, I screen one horror / suspense / thriller a night up until Halloween, when we watch Halloween.
I started with the latest in the Purge series.

The Purge: Election Year
I liked the first film, thought the second one even better. This one was just as good as the second. I think the next one in the series is going to be a prequel, and show us how this all started, how the Purge began. If you've seen these films, you already know the premise. One night a year, for twelve hours, by government decree, all crime is legal. Including murder. It's called The Purge, or Purge Night. In this latest chapter, we follow a Senator who is running for President. She wants to unseat the current one, who's with the group who started and believe in The Purge, and repeal it. There is plenty of violence and a little bloodshed shown.
