Hallowe'en Survey...
Oct. 23rd, 2002 08:02 amSaw this in a couple of places and nicked it ;) :
1. Name the three movies that have frightened you the most. Feel free to explain why.
The Exorcist - The demon and that voice. ::shudder::
Blair Witch Project - Ya hadda see this in a theater to truly appreciate how creepy and scary it is. Seriously!
A Nightmare On Elm Street - I swear to God I didn't sleep for an entire month the first time I saw that movie!!
2. Do you have an irrational fear?
I suppose spiders. I freak if I see one. And cockroaches.
3. What is the scariest book you have ever read?
"It" by Stephen King. The town and the kids reminded me of the town I grew up in and the kids that lived there. Plus on hearing the news from time to time from mom's friends who still live there we are conviced Pennywise *does* exist and lives in Michigan City Indiana. "We allllll float!" ::shudder::
4. Have you ever seen a film or read a book that frightened you so much you couldn't finish it?
Um let's see... I couldn't get all the way through "The Exorcist" the first time I saw it. I was way to young I guess to have been watching it and it just scared the piss out of me. :) I ran out of the room and it was not till I was older that I actually sat and watched it through.
5. Was there something that frightened you as a child that seems silly now? (For example, a weird shape outside your window, or a character in a movie.)
Mom had the soundtrack to the Broadway play "Hair" and when I was little, like four or five, the part where it goes "I'm faaaalling through a hole in the flag! Helllllllllp!" used to freak me out. I used to be that way about alot of dumb stuff when I was a kid though. ::laughs::
6. Have you ever had any encounters with anything paranormal? Seen a ghost, used a Ouija board, had a precognitive dream?
Yes, my grandmother's house was built on an old Indian burial ground. They didn't know it till much later. Lights on the cars in the carport would turn on unexpectedly when there was nobody out there, we'd hear thumping and bumping, etc... Grandma named her "visitor" Charlie Tecumseh and one Halloween even staged a seance to try and reach him. :)
7. If you made your own horror movie or wrote a horror story/novel, what would it be about?
I really don't know. It's pretty much all been done. I'll leave that to Stephen King. ;)
8. If you could be (or should I say had to be) any creature of the night (e.g., a vampire, a werewolf), what would you be?
A vampire. They are the most sexy. :)
9. If you could communicate in a direct way with one deceased person personally known to you, who would it be?
My great grandmother.
10. If you could communicate in a direct way with one deceased person *not* personally known to you, who would it be?
John Lennon.
