It's been a very long week. On top of that, my back is killing me today. KILLING me. I don't know what I did to it, but today was warehouse and there was no way I was lifting any heavy totes. And I usually have the dental section which has totes filled with bottles of mouthwash... so I had one of the big strong he-man types that were around lift them onto my cart for me. ::laughs and winks::

If it is still bugging me after a day or two more I'm going to have my chiropractor check it out.

Amazon delivered the CDs I ordered... I am building up my Stones collection with the remasters, so I got "Flowers" and "Let It Bleed" this time. Woo!

I have all this stuff on vinyl still and never got them on CD. Yeah, I still listen to vinyl sometimes. Ya know... the big black disks that we used to play on something called a turntable in the dark ages before compact discs were invented? ::snerk::

Anyway...

Must go. Dinner's almost ready and I want to get a shower first. Then I plan on curling up with some TV or maybe a book and my heating pad. Gee this was a terribly interesting update wasn't it? ::laughs::

The Stones remasters are fan-fucking-tastic! I have 6 of them (Rolling Stones Now!, Aftermath UK, Out of Our Heads UK, Between the Buttons UK, Satanic Majesties and Let It Bleed) and they're unbelievable. I didn't have much Stones on cd either -- just the newest things released from 1989 onwards plus Beggar's Banquet, Exile on Main Street and Some Girls which I got cheap -- and I can't believe how freaking good they sound. I really want to get most of the others...I'd read that they will eventually release the first two UK albums on cd -- I always preferred the UK track lists better anyway. But anyway, YAY YAY YAY!

"Let It Bleed" has always been a favorite album because, well, I can remember SO well listening when my mother and her friends played it as a child. "Flowers" is the same way... that's why those two were the first I got of the remasters. :) I have all her LPs and man what a collection! :)

I can't get over the incredible SOUND these have! Wow, wow, wow!!
Next up: "Aftermath" and "Satanic Majesties" most likely. And yeah, I much prefer the UK's track lists.

They do sound amazing. I need to play them on my real stereo (vs. my compute or portable cd player) to hear what they sound like at full volume. For some reason, they wont play in my laptop DVD-Rom drive though. Must be something to do with the SACD coding even though they should be able to. Very frustrating that way.

vinyls rock ... i have over 100 LPs that i listen to all the time ... my beatles ones are some of my most prized possessions ... but yeah i've got some great ones. of course, i dont hold a candle to the amount my old room mate had ... he had like 4 shelves full ... and each shelf held at least 100 ... so yeah ... he had a ton ... and that's not even counting the 78s he had in his room. anyway.

I adore vinyl. I just don't play mine much any more because of the fact that my turntable stinks. :) But I am soon upgrading my stuff so I'll have one again. Sounds like quite a collection he had!
