I'll post a proper update after work later this afternoon. For now, there's this...

My journal says I'm 52% masculine.
What does your LJ writing style say about your gender?

Um... you would think the "chick" in hippie_chick would give away my gender... probably male... ::snerk:: Nope, sorry.

And here's The Friday Five:

1. Who is your favorite singer/musician? Why?

I love music, so I like alot of bands and artists, but I am the most obsessive about The Beatles, so yeah. Because they've been a part of my life since I was a baby, and well... just because.

2. What one singer/musician can you not stand? Why?

I can't tolerate too much rap music but other than that I'm willing to give anything a shot at least once. I'm not crazy about Celine Dion though, she annoys me after awhile.

3. If your favorite singer wasn't in the music business, do you think you would still like him/her as a person?

I have no idea. I never knew them personally to begin with.

4. Have you been to any concerts? If yes, who put on the best show?

Quite a few. The Rolling Stones always rock though, I always love seeing them.

5. What are your thoughts on downloading free music online vs. purchasing albums? Do you feel the RIAA is right in its pursuit to stop people from dowloading free music?

I happen to do both. Although there is no way in bloody hell I'm going to pay like $18-$20 for a CD that I only want one or two songs on, so in that case I am more liable to download. And I've downloaded things before, to have on my playlist that I have elsewhere in my CD collection. If it's an artist I love anyway, I may take that chance and buy the CD sight unseen... or is that sound unheard? ::laughs:: It's also enabled me to discover new music and artists that I wouldn't have otherwise. And I have ultimately gone out and purchased the CD. Now that CDs are lowering in price, that's a step in the right direction. I can surely see both sides of the issue, but I don't think anything is going to actually stop people from downloading. It's the equivalent of what I used to do, borrow friends' albums/singles and make my own audiotapes of them.

Okay off to work. I'll be back later today. <3
