hippie_chickThe surf is rough today. Surfers must be lovin' it! Very windy and it's really grey out today.
Cell phone still won't keep a connection... and I'll try and call it and the call doesn't go through, just straight to my voicemail inbox and I can't access that either since I can't connect! Grrr... I'll take it in on Monday and see what's going on, if it really is that solar stuff happening or not.
I just got done eating lunch (leftover chinese) while VH1 kept me entertained. There is a new series on there called True Spin and it is really interesting. I mean... for one, the song Love Shack by the B-52s is not about a brothel like I had thought, it's just about the band's early days. And why Cyndi Lauper's She Bop was on there I have no clue. If you can't guess just by the lyrics what that song is about, then you are not to bright, my friend. Haha!
The one that really got me though was REM's Losing My Religion. I love the song. I had always thought it pretty cut and dried... losing one's faith. It's not about that at all. The other guess that was wrong, was that it was about the days before Mark David Chapman asassinated John Lennon. What was in Chapman's mind and etc... Nope. It's about an obsessive crush of Michael Stipe's!
Good stuff. I will watch for more of these. I'm already told though that my mind is already too full of useless pop culture factoids and clutter... so between this and watching I Love The 80s it's got even more now. Ha!
Anyway... I need to check email and then sign off and do some chores. I'll be back online later. <3
