I've been totally getting into Kingdom Hospital. I was completely prepared to not like it since I wasn't too crazy about Rose Red or the newer version of The Shining though the latter was a *little* better than the former.

The first two episodes (ran together in a two hour slot) were rather slow moving, but I liked it enough and it kept my interest enough to want to keep watching. The opening credits were much like that of the show Six Feet Under. In fact extremely close. But 'tis okay, lends itself to the atmosphere of the show. I liked the autobiographical bit Stephen King put in there... Peter getting hit by a van while jogging. Not... understanding the anteater.... yet. Weird. I know he painted that picture of one, but... don't get what it all MEANS. Haha!

I was so mad at myself for falling asleep last week and missing most of the third episode!! GAH!!! So if anyone feels so inclined, please fill me in on any major plot points I missed? Was it pretty much like the first two episodes, still building the story and introducing characters? I think that Mrs. Druse held her seance, right? Damn. I didn't want to miss ANY of this. Heretofore, as of last night, I have been watching in the living room, sitting up, rather than lying in my bed. Ha!

Last night. Woah. Trippy. I'll have you know that all day long that song "Na Na Hey Hey (Kiss Him Goodbye)" has been in my brain. Yeah. Earworm thankyouverymuch. So crazy... the convict's eyes are bleeding, he's like on the verge of death from rat poison and he's like... singing this song... the docs join him singing whilst they bust a move around the table. And the dead girlfriend of the convict (the rat poison was some sort of tandem suicide thing) slides out from her place in the morgue and sits up singing too...Damn. WEIRD. Haha! But that's just the kind of thing I love. Quirky. Strange. I'm figuring that there's some malevolent spirit after the spirit of the little girl, Mary. He doesn't seem up to any good at all. ::shakes head:: .

Dr. Stegman got an earful from the catatonic girl's mother... and rightfully so. That poor child! But it looks like Mary can communicate with her... and will use her in some way just as she seems to be going through Peter.

Anyway...I am in anticipation of what next week holds.

And did NOT get to finish my comment! Ugh.

Don't understand the anteater either. The talking animals are kind of disturbing (the German Shepard that keeps subliminaly speaking to people).

Last week...I wasn't paying attention to most of it. But, one of the doctors wanted Elanor out of the hospital...that's why she was readmitted last night.

I also liked the parallel to King's life. Wonder when he will show up in this show....as he usually does in his movies????

Yes! Almost forgot about the dog, too! Haha! And thanks for filling me in on that bit... I took it she'd been released from the hospital for some reason since they re admitted her last night.

I hope we actually get to see Stephen too at some point! :)

I watched the premiere and then gave up, feeling quite lost, myself. I should probably give it another shot, really... That German Shepherd with the accent just slayed me!

Have you read the "Journals of Eleanor Druse (http://www.amazon.ca/exec/obidos/ASIN/1401301231/701-3567978-2933933)"? It's quite a clever tie-in.

Haha! Yeah, the dog slayed me, too. No, haven't picked up the book yet. I may do that.
