Author JK Rowling has revealed the title of the seventh and final Harry Potter book.
The book will be called Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
The announcement was made on the writer's official website. Fans must play a game in order to find out what the title is.
This week Rowling, 41, revealed how she has gone back to writing in cafes - as she did 13 years ago when starting to write about the boy wizard.
She has also admitted how she has been dreaming of the character.
Writing on her website she described it as an "epic dream" where she was Harry and the narrator simultaneously.
'Elated and overwrought'
In a recent blog the writer said she has been working hard on the last book.
"I'm now writing scenes that have been planned, in some cases, for a dozen years or even more," she said.
She also described feeling "alternately elated and overwrought" at writing it and joked she cannot decide if she wants to finish it or not.

I am such a bad fangirl. I haven't visited her site in so very long.
I'm actually surprised the dreams are starting now for Jo. I mean, that entire world and the characters have been with her since what, the 80s? And not even in jest, Jo! FINISH THAT BOOK. LOL!!!
It's going to be interesting in the fandom *if* she kills Harry off. I can just see it exploding right now. It'll be so sad to finish that last page of the last book! But I won't think about that now. I'll just enjoy the anticipation and the fact that the OotP movie is coming out!!

Hermione... that *would* have been a really cool twist, actually. And I'd love to hear your Dumbledore theory. :)

Date: 2006-12-21 04:24 pm (UTC)And also when Book #7 is due out. If it does come out next Summer (esp. on the suggested date of 7/7/07) , then Sectus is going to be insane.
I was on her site for the first time in forever a few days ago to read the new diary page and look at the Christmas decorations.

Date: 2006-12-21 05:19 pm (UTC)I wish you could go to Sectus. That would be so cool. I still have to book my damn hotel room -- I have to call them to get the information I need. *sigh* Honestly, a Potter conference in London 2 weeks after the book comes out? Eeeeeeeek.
The only thing going is the locked room which is currently unlocked. If you need instructions on how to get through everything, give a yell.
And you *are* going to see Donny! I do hope one of your Donny-pals can go with you. I know how that is. It's one of the reasons I gave up seeing David Bowie cos I got tired of going to shows on my own.
