Take Me Back Tuesday @ The Music Memoirs
Arena Rock.
Big sound, big shows.

This was a tough one, because there are so many. But I whittled down my choices to three anyway.
Three artists.
1. The Rolling Stones. Pretty much, yeah. If you haven't seen the Stones live, you ain't livin'.
2. KISS. Well look at them. The costumes. The famous kabuki style makeup and hair. The powerhouse anthemic songs - "Rock and Roll All Nite" anyone? The rabid fan following and blatant commercialism - yes, when you die, my little KISS fan, you too can be buried in a KISS casket! Who better says "arena rock" than these guys? Rock on.
3. Queen. Freddie Mercury was the penultimate front man. His was an amazing stage presence that captivated his audience and dragged them in. Their concerts weren't just shows. They were events.
Three songs.
1. Jumpin' Jack Flash (Stones)
2. Hotter Than Hell (KISS)
3. We Will Rock You / We Are The Champions (Queen)
Three albums.
1. Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out! The Rolling Stones, live at Madison Square Garden in 1969. Their best live album. Ever.
2. KISS Alive! The 1975 KISS juggernaut selling over 4 million units. Yes, they tweaked it a bit in the studio, but only for the odd breaking of guitar strings and a couple of off-notes... that's beside the point. It's a FINE, kick ass live album that my brother and I listened to till we wore it out. "Cold Gin" and "Hotter Than Hell" are my favorites.
3. Live Killers! My favorite live Queen album. The band were not reportedly happy with the final mix, having mixed it themselves. Didn't stop it from being certified Double Platinum here in the U.S. however. Some GREAT live nuggets here including "We Will Rock You / We Are The Champions" of course. I also love "Killer Queen".
