Got back from collecting the mail a little bit ago. BPAL has landed! Yesterday I received my room spray of "Gooey Pillowcase" from the Trading Post. I sprayed some today and it's delicious. You would have thought I had some wonderful home made maple candy cooking up in here!
And today, my Halloweenie Haul! Just in time to enjoy from here through to THE night! Whew!
First of all, so many lovely frimps!
51 (hadn't sniffed this one yet, was happy to get it...this is incredible and so intricate on!)
Dian's Bud (another I hadn't sniffed yet, it's gorgeous, love the apple and galangal in here)
Somnus (always a nice bed time scent, love this one)
Eternal
Othello
Severin
Caliban
Inferno (YUMMY on me!)
Love Me
Peitho
Goblin (love it, very cool on!)
Dragon's Blood
Nylarathotep
Uruk
Hairy Toad Lily
Rosalind
Wolf's Heart
Dracul! My lovely Dracul! I have nursed this old-ish bottle long enough, must order another ASAP
So generous, and appreciated!
Now on to the meat of it all... my order. First impressions from just sniffing from the bottles:
John Barleycorn
Beery and grainy for sure. There are sheaves of wheat pictured on the bottle after all. It definitely smells like something I'd have fun wearing to the microbrewery or to an Octoberfest.
To Autumn
I knew this would be lovely just from the description. There is a fall cornucopia of fruits and nuts pictured on the bottle. Sniffing from the bottle it's apples and nutmeat. Sweet but not overly so. I think this will be nice to wear from here through Thanksgiving. I hope it likes me when I wear it.
Ichabod Crane
I had to get this one! :) I smell peppery wool in the bottle! It's like Ichabod's coat would smell if you had your nose up to its collar.
The Witching Time Of The Night
The kind of floral I like not overly cloying, just right. It's like a cool midnight walk in a garden with the moon shining down on you. I'm anxious to actually put this one on, to see what happens on my skin.
Then we have the pumpkin patch! The bottles are adorable as usual! Straight sniff from the bottles, not worn yet:
I:
Coconut with a kick and pumpkin straight off in the bottle.
II:
S&M pumpkin! LOL! Leathery and musky in the bottle. Naughty and sexy!
III:
I love this one in the bottle! Citrusy pumpkin. I smell that grapefruit!
IV:
Yep, there's that cherry tobacco! Then I sniff again, and I get the honey. Looking forward to trying this one on and seeing what happens. So far it makes me think of a bunch of my "comfort" scents all in one bottle.
V:
Fruity pumpkin. I definitely get strawberry in there. The jasmine worries me as I amp it up so, and I'm not a fan of rose scents, but we'll see when this one goes on what happens.
Bonus imp:
Needle In A Haystack
A wheaty one to go with John Barleycorn, though this isn't a beery wheat, more like a wheatfield in the sun. And the pumpkin is there, drifting in and out... not strongly, but just enough. There's the faintest little ting of something metallic! THE NEEDLE! LOL! I love this. I have this one on now, actually and it's lovely lovely, lovely.
ETA:
Just went to the forum this second. I was able to log on! YAY! I haven't posted in an age but wanted to read what everyone had to say about the seasonal LEs and be able to comment where I'm moved to. :)
