Top 5 Spooky Halloween Songs
I'm going to reach into the recesses of my brain and think back to songs that honestly DID scare me or creep me out, either as a kid or later. Here we go. I've linked YouTube as well so you can hear them.
1. Murder by Numbers - The Police.
It's just the creepiest how-to ever done. Used to good effect in the movie "Copycat", which I saw, by the way, all by myself, and came home to an empty house, parents away for the weekend. Once that you've decided on a killing, first you make a stone of your heart. And if you find that your hands are still willing, then you can turn a murder into art
2. Red Right Hand - Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds
This was discovered by me as used in the movie "Scream". The lyrics are creepy. On a gathering storm comes a tall handsome man in a dusty black coat with a red right hand. (Oh and Loverman is another one you should check out! Metallica did a cover of it too.)
3. Revolution 9 - The Beatles
It's creepy enough, but try it backward sometime. Damn, man! Here I sit in my broken chair, my wings are broken and so is my hair.
4. D.O.A. - Bloodrock
Obscure, AM Radio 70s rock. I remember, vaguely hearing this on the radio late at night and freaking out. The siren effect and everything. ...we were flying low, and hit something in the air...
5. Careful With That Axe, Eugene - Pink Floyd
I mean holy heck when Roger Waters screams, I jump out of my skin. Careful, careful, careful with that axe, Eugene.
