Top 5 artists that should never have tried acting.

1. Madonna.



I'll give her "Evita" and "A League of Their Own". And alright "Desperately Seeking Susan"
even if just for giving me my favorite 1985 jam "Into The Groove".
Bad actress? She has the Razzies to back that up, folks.

2. Mariah Carey.



I have just one word for you. "Glitter".

3. Sting.



I thought the disaster that was "Dune" would be enough to make him realize
he should stick to music and give up acting, but he attempted it a couple of more times before hanging it up.

4. Jessica Simpson.



Poor girl. She just can't do anything right, can she?

5. Gene Simmons.



"Runaway", anyone? I rest my case.

Can't hate on Bowie, though, just because I love "Labyrinth"
and yes I'm busting out the Jareth icon, dammit!

Brings me to think "Best Musicians Turned Actors", because there ARE some who made the transition very well, as well as "Best / Worst Actors Turned Musicians" for future theme suggestions?

I see our number 1s match! LOL! I couln't give Bowie the turn because well..I loves the Bow too much. Forgot Sting's acting career!...The Bride was pretty awful too.

I adore the movie Dune but yer right, Sting was not good. Although, he did look all hawt in the costumes!

Agree with you on a few, might have agreed with you on a few others if I'd seen Glitter or Employee of the Month (although I think I'll still avoid them). Don't remember Gene Simmons being that bad in Runaway, but since someone else replying to my list also picked him, I could well be in the minority there.
