So yeah, Billboard has just released what it's calling the 50 Sexiest Songs Of All Time. Which to me seem more like The 50 Most Popular Songs About Sex Of All Time.Being about sex and being sexy are two different things, Billboard. And I have to poke in here and offer my commentary. Oh goodness, where to begin. There are a couple that are... okay. But then OMG some of them make me wonder what the freaking hell are they thinking. Anyhow, without further ado, and behind the cut, the list and my two cents, for what it's worth, where I deem it necessary.

50. Foreigner — "Urgent" <-- Foreigner? Really?
49. Cyndi Lauper — "She Bop" <-- This is a fun little ditty about female self satisfaction, but I personally wouldn't have this on my sexy time playlist.
48. Ray J & Yung Berg — "Sexy Can I" <-- Sexy you can't.
47. Adina Howard — "Freak Like Me"
46. Cassie — "Me & U"
45. Tone-Loc — "Wild Thing" <-- I remember this one, but it doesn't scream sexy to me.
44. George Michael — "I Want Your Sex" <-- Okay yes this is on my sexy playlist. I admit it!Great pumping rhythm too.
43. Donna Summer — "Dim All the Lights" <-- Maybe. Just makes me want to be in the disco though.
42. Prince — "Raspberry Beret" <-- There are SO MANY better songs by Prince that could be here!!
41. Johnny Gill — "Rub You the Right Way"
40. Juvenile featuring Soulja Slim — "Slow Motion"
39. Roberta Flack — "Feel Like Makin' Love" <-- Yeah, this is a nice slow jam right here. Good for some romantic mood setting.
38. Sylvia — "Pillow Talk"
37. Def Leppard — "Pour Some Sugar on Me" <-- No. I like this one, yes, but it makes me want to rock out and sing along not be sexy. LOL!
36. R. Kelly — "Bump N' Grind"
35. Poison — "Unskinny Bop" <-- LOL! Just... LO freakin' L!
34. Marvin Gaye — "Sexual Healing" <-- Well yes, it's one of the "go to" songs on many sexy playlists, isn't it?
33. Donna Summer — "Love to Love You Baby" <-- Again with Donna! Disco sex, man!
32. Labelle — "Lady Marmalade" <-- Nothing like a song about a prostitute working the streets of New Orleans to get you in the mood for some good lovin'.
31. Peter Gabriel — "Sledgehammer" <-- Really? REALLY now?
30. Missy Elliott — "Work It"
29. The Pointer Sisters — "Slow Hand" <-- *raises eyebrow*
28. Heart — "All I Want To Do Is Make Love To You" <-- Something tells me that they weren't paying attention to what this song is REALLY about.
27. Usher featuring Young Jeezy — "Love in This Club" <-- OMG so tired of this one.
26. Karyn White — "Romantic"
25. Akon featuring Eminem — "Smack That" <-- WHAT? OMG
24. R. Kelly — "Ignition"
23. Bell Biv Devoe — "Do Me!" <--No.
22. Silk — "Freak Me"
21. Gregory Abbott — "Shake You Down"
20. Starland Vocal Band — "Afternoon Delight" <-- A paean to mid day nookie. I actually think it's so cheesy that it's cute.
19. 50 Cent featuring Olivia — "Candy Shop"
18. Monica — "The First Night"
17. Anita Ward — "Ring My Bell" <-- More disco sex? Please keep these under the mirror ball and not under the sheets.
16. Nelly Furtado featuring Timbaland — "Promiscuous" <-- UGH UGH UGH. There was a time when I wasn't sick to death of this song. And no I never thought it was sexy even then.
15. Toni Braxton — ""You're Makin Me High"
14. Color Me Badd — "I Want To Sex You Up" <-- *dies laughing*
13. Donna Summer — "Bad Girls" <-- They be lovin' up on Donna on this list don't they?
12. Lil Wayne — "Lollipop" <-- NO NO NO NO!!!! Not sexy.
11. The Rolling Stones — "Honky Tonk Women" <-- There are better, raunchier, more awesome Stones songs to include here.
10. Rod Stewart — "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy" <-- No, Rod. Actually, I do not.
9. Exile — "Kiss You All Over" <-- God I remember this song from like, middle school. *cringe*
8. Madonna — "Like A Virgin" <-- There are a couple of better Madonna songs you could include here instead.
7. Captain & Tennille — "Do That To Me One More Time" <-- No. They permanently turned off the world when they came out with "Muskrat Love". Can't ever consider them sexy.
6. Donna Summer — "Hot Stuff" <-- Okay I get it, you like Donna's disco sex sounds.
5. Marvin Gaye — "Let’s Get It On" <-- Well yes. It goes hand in hand with "Sexual Healing" on sexy playlists everywhere. Maybe to the point of being too obvious?
4. Next — "Too Close"
3. Boyz II Men — "I'll Make Love To You" <-- I like this slow jam, but it reminds me too much of an ex boyfriend of mine.
2. Rod Stewart — "Tonight's The Night" <-- Okay, who didn't make out to this song or slow dance to it in the 70s? It just reminds me of feeling really awkward though so no.
1. Olivia Newton-John — "Physical" <-- WHAT? OMG WHAT? ROFLOL!!!

So there it is. I'm amazed at some omissions here. Where's Barry White for instance? How many babies were conceived to his smooth, rich bass voice anyway? OMG. LOL!

Feel free to discuss, and impart upon us some of your favorite songs for sexy time. I do have a playlist, but I'm fine tuning it and I'll share it with you all a bit later, I promise. I also have a great CD called "Tease: The Beat of Burlesque" that has some of the hottest, jazziest stripper songs on it ever. I love it. Let me know if you want me to share.
