You have been asked to submit your dream Monkees set list! Pick the songs that you want to hear on the upcoming tour with Micky, Peter and Mike!

I'm crushed that Davy isn't with us any more, and picking these songs was tough because there are certain ones I'd LOVE, but they wouldn't be the same without Davy's vocal. Though they'll no doubt include something in memorial.:( But I think I have my 25.



In alphabetical order since the list is. I'm just going down through it and here are the songs I submitted.

* All The King's Horses - because Mike!
* As We Go Along - underrated gem.
* Auntie's Municipal Court - double lead vocal, Micky and Mike.
* Calico Girlfriend - because Mike! I had to pick a couple of my faves of his you know.
* Daily Nightly - Need to break out that Moog Synthesizer! ♥
* Goin' Down - because Micky!
* Gonna Buy Me A Dog - because hysterical! :D
* Love Is Only Sleeping - definitely.
* Mary, Mary - One of my childhood faves of theirs.
* Naked Persimmon - :)
* No Time - WOO!
* Papa Gene's Blues - OMG YES.
* Propinquity (I've Just Begun To Care) - a lovely Mike composition.
* Saturday's Child - :) If you love a Wednesday you live your life apart now, and if you love a Thursday she's gonna break your heart. So I'm in love with Saturday's child!
* Some of Shelley's Blues - Yep, I'm using Mike to the fullest!
* Sometime In The Morning - because I do love this one. Lots. ♥
* Sunny Girlfriend - :D
* Tapioca Tundra - because Mike!
* The Girl I Knew Somewhere - another of my childhood faves.
* What Am I Doin' Hangin' 'Round? - because Mike! They did this last year, but since Mike is there this time, they NEED to have this in there. *nods*
* Words - because BECAUSE!
* You Just May Be The One - ;)
* Your Auntie Grizelda - because Peter!
* Zor and Zam - because wouldn't it be nice if you threw a war and nobody showed up?


That said, I don't know why I even did this, because so far there are no dates near enough to me, and I don't think it'll expand further but who knows? I will just have to dream, wish I could be there to see Mike, and feel blessed that I at least got to see Peter and Micky WITH DAVY last year. Too bad it took Davy's passing to get Mike to do this. *sigh*

Too bad it took Davy's passing to get Mike to do this.

I know, right? I love Mike, but I'm a little irked that he refused to join them at any point over the past 20+ years, and does now.



(For the record: "Listen to the Band" is my favorite.)
